Day 7

Day 7 – 26th November – 12.00 – Richmond  Road

This will be the 3rd outdoor scene and for me, it’s the worst conditions we had worked in so far.

Despite it been quite a bright dry day the temperature was very cold , so cold in fact that it was killing the battery’s in our equipment , a new set of AA batteries would only last about 5 minutes’ in our zoom recorder that we’d used on that day. That on top of the very strong winds made most of our recording on that day unusable.

Day 6

Day 6 – 24th November – 15.30 – 3 Temple Gardens LN2 1NP

This will be the 4th indoor scene at the same location as we were on day 4

This proved to be one of the more challenging scenes to record as there were 2 people in shot with dialogue with a lot of movement in a relatively confided space. However I think we pulled it off quite nicely.

Day 5

Day 5 23rd November – 16.00 – 91 Carholme Road LN1 1RT

This is the 3rd indoor scene. One of most noticeable things about this short film is that despite it looking like we shot just 2 houses , there were in fact 5.

We would usually swap around roles between monitoring and boom op, the reason for a separate person to monitor was to give us the flexibility of not been restrained to the camera, so that one person can just focus on having the mic in the correct position and the other person making sure gains are set correctly and that the DP doesn’t trip over the cables feeding the camera.

Day 4

Day 4 20th November – 15.00 – 3 Temple Gardens LN2 1NP

This is the 2nd Indoor shot so far, made even better by the fact that is was warm and a lot quitter

This scene didn’t present us with any difficulty really, mainly due to the little amount of dialogue that need to be recorded that day.
